The Nevada B Ranch received a beautiful email message from an animal lover in Northern Nevada. Here is the email dated: 5-20-11
“I am a former animal control officer and I investigated an abuse case over a year ago with some horses. One was a 9 yr. old gelding named “Goliah” that had scoliosis of the spine and was approximately 300 lbs. underweight. The horse was temporarily placed “in foster care” and brought to possibly your facility.
A while after he was rescued, I had picked up a horse tails magazine and saw his picture and how he looked like a totally different horse. WOW! It’s amazing what a little bit of feed does for an animal. Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for all that you do for these animals and was wondering if he got adopted. Thanks, J.S., Former “County” Animal Control Officer.
This email message says it all about what they are doing at the Nevada B Ranch to help the Mustangs. They believe that all these wonderful animals deserve good treatment and loving guardians. The staff at the Nevada B Mustang Ranch Sanctuary will continue to do their utmost to assure these Mustangs can either find a home of their own or retire in dignity in our beautiful valley.
These volunteers work tirelessly to train the horses in the basic fundamentals, get them in shape with exercise and teach them to trust humans. Many success stories are waiting to be written for the Mustangs at the Nevada B Ranch Sanctuary. If you know of a horse in need of their services, please give them a call.

“Expanding Horizons for the Nevada B Ranch Mustang Sanctuary”
“Silverheels Bootique ~ The
New Silverheels in Genoa”
This past month (Dec 2011) has been a busy time for Sheri
Avis and her wonderful staff of hard workers as they open up two more
Silverheels retail stores to fund the Horses a the Nevada B Mustang Sanctuary.
One of the sites is the Railroad Car they took over from Lacy J. Dalton in
Virginia City. And the other new store is located in Genoa next to the Dancing
Deer in the Genoa Square, Space # 7. 775-392-1701 The new stores will be
carrying much of the same wonderful inventory as you find at the Minden store
and those two stores will also serve as boot and shoe repair drop offs as well.
The Minden Store has already caused quite a stir in the
community; folks really enjoy the beautiful store and the superb quality and
selection of boots, leather goods of all kind, clothes and high fashion Indian
Jewelry. I love that there is something for everyone at Silverheels, men,
women, and children of all ages. Among the great Silverheels merchandise in the
Genoa store will be great leather goods and fashion for the motorcycle
enthusiasts as well as the western oriented fashion lover. Another new item you
can find at Silverheels is the concealed weapon purses so popular and difficult
to find.
All of the Silverheels Bootique’s profitable proceeds will go
to the care and maintenance of the rescued and wild horses living at the Nevada
B Ranch Mustang Sanctuary. The expansion of the retail stores will insure that
these horses will always have what they need to live safely and happily away
from harm and abuse. The Nevada B Mustang Sanctuary and Silverheels Bootique
are non-profit and have a 501(c) 3 Group.
“Remember that shopping locally and at stores in your county
or town helps promote jobs and bring tax revenue into your community. Buy
American and spend your dollars in your town and we will all benefit from this
dedication to the health and welfare of our economy! The small Mom and Pop
stores and local run retail businesses need your support so they will be there
for you when you need them”. For more information about the horses at the
Nevada B Ranch (online) {new website under construction} or call 775-265-2465.
The Nevada B Ranch is located at 277 Fredricksburg Road, Gardnerville, NV 89460.
